Hey guys, i'm in the process of moving and it dawned on me that as i keep collecting cans im starting to need a display of some sort.
But at 20$ a piece its gets pricey fast as i would already need like 7 of them !
Do you guys have some idea as to how/where to get some for cheap, what do you guys use as stands/display?
Thanks !
On the super cheap, till you can afford a better solution, you can use a metal hanger and bend it into a headphone stand. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vcyF0NCcmBA. I did a slightly upgraded version of this using aluminum dowels at Home depot for $5-$8 (depending on diameter/length) and a 2x4 scrap wood to brace the aluminum for clean and even bends.
JotakuI ultimately replaced them with some from amazon that went on sale for $7 a pop on the Prime Day sale. So my final piece of advice would be to wait till Prime Day to see if there will be another sale on headphone stands.
I use a piece of wood as a base and then 1 foot pipes so it's 3 feet tall with 3 rungs for headphones, holds 9 easy and several additional iems, wrapped it all with Paracord. Kinda like this 1

I got the idea from seeing a video of a guy using a Lego Infinity Gauntlet to hold an LCD display panel. So I thought to like maybe I could use something similar and saw that IKEA has those posable hand things for $15 a pop. It may need some sort of spray coating to make it so that splinters won't damage the padding and a coat of paint to suit your room.
Noish. If it's not too much to ask, could you maybe post a video of before and after or something or do you have like a social media account to follow?
I'm thinking of getting the ASUS X IKEA ones, they look just as flimsy but girthier.
I like these garage hooks. I screwed one right into the side of my computer desk and use one at work on the pressboard stuff(image below).
Very customizable, find some in any style you like, screw them into a nice piece of wood stained and finished however you like.

Monoprice has basic aluminium ones online, available in grey brushed or blck colorways. I like them. Though not cheaper than 20 bucks the ones I am talking about
Though it's tiny, it manages to power even high ohm headsets with amazing accuracy. It works great with the drop usb-c to usb-c and my Phillips shp-9600. Soon enough I'll be using the Akoustyx...
I have an external amplifier with no integrated DAC and I only have an xduo xa10 as a dac/amp can I use the xduo xa10 as a dac only with an external amplifier?
