A substantial, modern-looking fountain pen from across the pond, the Italix English Curate features an acrylic body, chrome accents, and a crayon box of color options—from Candy (cherry red with white swirls) to Sable (a marbled, chocolatey brown). Made to post, its screw-on cap fits neatly onto the stepped barrel and remains secure thanks to an internal spring, creating a perfectly balanced feel. A tapered metal section and tight, ball-end pocket clip complete the package.
Note: At checkout, you’ll have your choice of colors between Blue Twirl, Blue Pearl, Candy, Red Twirl, and Sable, as well as your choice of nib size (see list below). For an additional $65, you can add a 18k gold nib.
Gold-Plated German Nib
The two-tone, gold-plated nib is made in Germany and adjusted, reground, adapted, polished, and dry-tested by Italix in England. The result is a wet, skip-resistant writing experience with just about any nib size you can imagine. In addition to standard nibs in fine, medium, and broad, the company offers italic, cursive stub, oblique, and italic oblique nibs. And for those looking for more line variation, the 18-karat gold nib delivers a bit of springy flex.
