I've had these pens for over 6-8 months and they work just fine, no cracks or leaks. I will agree the Herbin cartridges do run dry and I've just switched ink and have no problems. I haven't even applied anything to the seal/gasket yet that's how well they have worked. no complaints (other than they are a bit pricey for a rollerball, but if you like custom colored ink in your rollerball... these are for you.
