Headphone stands where the pads touch anything other than themselves cause pad fatigue and degrade the headphones, the blocks also add hotspots to the bands. Those are some expensive headphones to store in a damaging way!
dm94aq7Good point. But don't worry. This is just for make a photo. I have a proper headphone stands too. You will be able see all of them on orher photos under the my profile. Actually, I am ridiculously careful with all my headphones, so pressure on Fostex Ebony earpads from the foam block is very little As the headphone headband is wide and loose by itself. And additionally, the top headband has been reinforced with ZMF pilot headband to prevent the Hotspot on top. In this particular case, adding more deeper ZMF earpads allows me to distribute the headphone weight on foam block more evenly between the earpads and headband pressure as 50% to 50% , while the next sitting Elex is more relays on headband. Though it's tiny, it manages to power even high ohm headsets with amazing accuracy. It works great with the drop usb-c to usb-c and my Phillips shp-9600. Soon enough I'll be using the Akoustyx...
