I for one would love to see an apparel sewing community! CanNOT tell you how many hours I've spent poring over Nancy's Notions and Clotilde (now Annie's) mail-order catalogs! French curves, point turners, Organ needles, specialty pressing tools and hams, weft-insertion (Armo) interfacing, silk organza.... I can (and will) go on and on and on. As an "Invertebrate Amazon Abuser.." or at least this is what my partner says, although she often omits the river - I understand just how spoiled we have become by their apparently obsessive attention to service and delivery - which from the consumer's view is often pretty unbeatable.
