I would like to see more high-quality yarns. More of what you would see at an LYS and less of the Big Box stuff like Bernat.
Examples:
Lorna's Laces
Madelinetosh
Malabrigo
Berroco
Blue Moon Fiber Arts

I'm researching how to get La Biene Aimee yarn into the USA. I have a friend who just got a few skeins & am awaiting to hear where she got them. Any interested parties?

New poll for variegated yarn
Hi folks - I added a new poll for some of my favorite variegated yarns; it's at the bottom of the list. Please check it out and vote on it if you like any of the yarns. I've been disappointed with the quality of most of the yarns that have come out o...

Lend a hand?
Yarn bowl^^? I've wanted one for a while but the nice ones are super expensive and the cheap ones(at least the ones I've found) just seem so... sad.

I'd love to see a ball winder! I usually wind my hanks of yarn at the same shop I buy them from, but it would be nifty to be able to do it at home.

Less acrylic content?
My girlfriend loves to knit, and I'd like to get her knitting stuff. But she hates acrylic and sticks to wool, alpaca, cotton, and blends. Do you think you might go to more natural yarns on mass drop, and less acrylic?

Massdrop Veil Wind Shell
Hi everyone!
I wanted to jump in and give some more details on the technical aspects of the Veil fabric.
My name is Kim Suarez, and I am the Soft Goods Product Development Manager at Massdrop. I came to Massdrop 6 months ago after working for over 6 years in Product Development for major brands in the outdoor and denim space.
This fabric was developed in partnership with the mill OneChang in South Korea. They are experts when it comes to...

Lend a hand?
Loving the idea of this knitting community. It seems awful quiet though (as far as drops go, I mean). Is there anything we as members can help to get the ball rolling on amazing yarns, notions, patterns, kits, etc.?

Please don't forget about crochet. Crocheters use all the same yarn and have patterns for almost everything you can knit as well. Offering crochet hooks and patterns as well would be nice.

Pelikan Toledo M910 Yellow
I agree, I hate to see the "dissing" of the high end pens. "A biro might do just as well, but the same could be said for" when purchasing certain models of cars, types of roofing material, and bicycles.
I have been a happy user of Pelikan for 20 plus years. I write with my pens for a minimum of 3 hours about 5 days a week. I have never had a Pelikan need a repair, no problems with any kind of ink, and their nibs are interchangeable. I...

Any natural dyers out there?
I tried dyeing yarn with avocado pits for the first time last weekend and now I'm obsessed. It feels like magic! I kept it simple with a kitchen setup, virgin fishermen's wool, a dozen pits, no skins, and no mordant. The five-hour dye bath yielded a

Could we add Crocheting to this community as well?
I’ll add my voice to this! Maybe morph the knitting group into a fiber group?
i spin, crochet, and weave, and would love to see some high end yarn drops like Malabrigo or Manos Del Uruguay and so on. So far the yarns I’ve seen I can get for similar prices if I just keep an eye on the sales.
