Do not pay extra for the quad, go on Rtings and do a comparison, it’s worse in most every way (if wanting a neutral response). I own the Triple‘s and they are quite good. However, their little brother,, the Xiaomi Piston III’s are almost identical in sound quality (it doesn’t have the foam tips, no airplane adaptor, volume rockers don’t work with iOS, not as high quality feel). However, they are only ~$15. I own both, and if doing blind tests, I wouldn’t be able to tell they were different sounding unless I really tried. That’s not a knock on the Triple, it’s worth $80, it’s just the Piston III’s are a steal.

MZKMXCVAre you talking about the in ear headphones pro hd? I actually have owned several generations of those headphones from xiaomi. The in ear headphones pro are not very good compared to the 1 more triple driver. The latest generation which is the hd version sounds much closer. The bass has less kick but is very good still and the highs and mids especially when listening to podcasts or people speaking or singing is very very good. Like frankly almost as good as I have heard even 500 dollar earbuds.

MFillmoreNo, to my knowledge, the “in ear headphones pro hd” are similar to the Piston Hybrids, which I also own; they are not as good as the Piston III’s. I have tested song that go below 30Hz on both the Piston III’s and Triple Driver, I could not hear any difference in bass extension nor a boost in bass loudness.

MZKMXCVOh you mean the one's that won the red dot design award in 2015? Yeah the bass is good on those I agree. I dunno I though tthe clarity on those wasn't as good as the newest one or the 1more triple drivers. I feel like vocal music sounds really good on the triple drivers and balanced armatures in general but that's just me. But on another note, the in ear headphones pro hd are a significant upgrade over the hybrids in the clarity and midrange department. If you get the chance you should try it out.

The vocals on the Triple‘s are slightly less recessed than the Piston III’s in the mid-range, making it so the vocals don’t take as much as a backseat to the instrumental. Still, I wouldn’t say the sound quality reflects the price difference (though you do get the other things I mentioned).
