Does one leg come off for use as a mono pod (other 3LTs do this) and does the head lock the plate in so there's no chance of the camera sliding off if the screw is not tight enough seen this as a negative in previous reviews 3LTs said they where looking at a redesign in response?

MitchDarragh@MitchDarragh - No, the Patti does not have a removable monopod leg. All other 3LT tripods do, but this model does not. And yes, the Quick Release plate does now come with 2 security pins underneath to help minimize sliding off the ball head. Previous versions did not come with security pins because they were designed to be compatible with other mounting systems, such as Peak Design.

EMcVThat's a shame would have been perfect for me if it did. So it's not compatible with all Arca plates?

MitchDarraghYes, the plate is fully Arca compatible as is. If the security pins underneath are removed, which is possible to do, it is also becomes compatible with other systems such as Peak Design’s Capture.
