As a Lord of one of the most densely populated cities in the Forgotten Realms, how will you assert yourself as its ruler? Lords of Waterdeep is a worker placement game of dark business dealings, daring doings, and dense political intrigue that has you send adventurers on quests, collect resplendent resources, and build an empire of followers.
Note: This drop includes the Lords of Waterdeep base game and the Scoundrels of Skullport Expansion.
Gameplay
Each player takes on the role of one of the secret, masked rulers of the city. After eight rounds, the player with the most victory points is declared the victor. Points can be earned by collecting types of adventurers and sending them off on different kinds of quests, and each quest requires a specific type of adventurer. Each ruler has an additional secret condition that earns them more victory points, through either completing specific quests or building real estate throughout the city. To mix things up, Intrigue cards can either help or hinder the other Lords as you increase your own influence throughout the city.
