Two weeks ago I bought a Rush12 at a 5.11 store here in preparation for my trip abroad very soon and I deliberately missed this drop a few days ago so I could skip the unnecessary expense of buying another backpack and wreck havoc on my wallet. Thanks MD for the impeccable timing, nice price though for non-US customers like me :P

I'll buy the 24 as my bug-out bag once I get back home, as long as the price is right
I know prices fluctuate, but I routinely see these on Amazon new from multiple sellers for $99 w free shipping, quick turnaround.
Very solid backpack, excellent for EDC. Great materials and stitching, well thought compartments inside, you might want to add a waist belt if carrying too much (it has the buckles already and belts can be found online). I have it for a few years together with 72, no issues whatsoever.

A bit too expensive here though
I've owned one of these backpacks for what seems like forever. I haven't stressed it terribly but I'm not gentle with it either. It's gone through everything and asks for more. Not only is it rugged, but it's also got fantastic organization inside -- lots of space for smaller items. I noticed when looking at other packs that many of them seemed to focus either on storage capacity or organization, but not always both.

It does not have a belt, but it does have 1.5" buckles at the hips so you could add a belt if you were so inclined. There are plenty of loops to add other pouches and gear; I have a roll up pouch on the side of mine that is quite handy.

If you're looking for a medium sized backpack that will easily carry your shit everywhere, this is a great option. Especially if you're an EDC fanatic like I am.
WTF Massdrop? $109.99 online w/free shipping.

Here’s a screen shot as well as a link to the product page for anyone who would like to see the discrepancy.
5.11 Tactical Rush 12 Backpack, Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003HHV0QQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_kB3WAbTXWRDKM

If you’ll read my explanation above, you’ll see that your screen shot reflects a listing title error.
The $79 price is actually for the smaller Rush12 backpack, not the larger Rush24.
If you pay $79, Amazon will ship you a Rush12.
To buy a Rush24, you‘ll have to pay $118 or more, depending on the color you choose.
Level 3 backpack.
Does this have a waist belt? I don't see one in the pictures. Can anyone confirm?

I am pretty certain the 24 does not have a waist belt. The 72 does.

No, it does not. Great ruck!
This bag is a bit heavy, but I've had mine for seven years and it's been through some pretty significant motorcycle travel throughout West Africa and South Asia and about 30 international flights and still functions as my daily bag and it doesn't have a single loose stitch. If you don't mind the weight it's a great purchase.
Sorry Massdrop - but this bag is available on fleabay for 103.50 with free shipping.
These comments are the same ones from the last time this bag dropped? About 2 months ago.Very goodpack I will say.
Does anyone use this as an equipment bag for rock climbing that can vouch for how well suited to that it is?

Bulky and heavy...look elsewhere for your climbing pack. Weight is a huge issue, cut it when you can. Looking for a rope bag and equip bag check out gorucks pilot bag. Perfect for hauling any kind of gear that can take a beating.
Without free shipping at even the lowest price, for just a couple dollars more you can order this on Amazon for right about $120-$125.
Can we get a drop for the messenger bags? That concealed carry pocket on those bags is amazing.
One of the best backpacks out there, comfortable and solid. I have mine as EDC for 2 years and looks like new.
I already have the 24. It’s my edc bag and i love it. Two years of daily use and it still looks brand new. I would have considered a 72 or the messenger bag. if anybody is on the fence this is hands down the best daily use tatical bag on the market
