grabbed some of these about a year and half or more from massdrop. just had one of them break on me.
the right trigger (r2) button broke. seems the strain i put on it after playing rocket league heavily over the weekend after a year and a half of moderate wear and tear from normal usage eventually became too much for the button to handle. the buttons on the side are really only held onto the circuit board by 2-3 small thin pieces of metal and the three tiny solder points. the small bits of metal broke and the solder points bent a bit so pushing the button wouldn't actually register rather than just pushing the button box farther off and bending the solder points a bit more. unfortunately for me by the time i opened up the controller the solder points were so weak that it didn't take much for it to break so that ended up happening when i was trying to glue it back in place
i do imagine you'll lose your warranty but opening it up and slapping some hot glue in there around the non functional sides of the buttons that fit along the edge of the controller to hold them in place more securelywill probably go a long way in keeping it in good shape for longer. if you try it just be aware that the screws and plastic columns they fit into are pretty close behind the l2 and r2 buttons so don't put it on too thick on that side or you wont get the cover back on.

DaedalJSidk how you even managed to play rl on that piece of crap. that was one of the first games i played on it and i immensely prefer a ds4/xbone controller. xbone is my personal preference ergonomically, but either works.
