Apparently the complaints about the D-Pad appear to be valid. It was even brought up to 8Bitdo in 2015, and there's been no PCB design change since. See this thread: 8Bitdo D-Pad PCB Contacts Issue - NES30 Pro/NES30/FC30 Pro/FC30 Forum http://forum.8bitdo.com/thread-446-1-1.html

CrashNBurnAre you kidding me? 8Bitdo's response is like an 8 year old typed it out. It seems the company is one of those that doesn't listen to the community. One user specifically mentioned that dpads like that are bad for fighting games. Others like the OP mentioned that they should have emulated the original SFC dpad PCB contacts.
This is 8Bitdo's response:
"In fact, what everyone says are justified. The DPads of Xbox 360 controllers and 8Bitdo's controllers are sensitive, but Xbox 360 controllers are more. For many games, they need sensitive and speed, such as fighting games. Xbox 360 controllers and 8Bitdo's controllers are more suitable for playing such games.
While some other controllers, they will not be too sensitive, but when you press two buttons of DPads at the same time, maybe it will lose one, or recognize it too slowly.
So each controller has it's feture, and it is more suitable for playing some games." [sic]
