Glad to see more 8bitdo drops. Their SNES Pro controller comes out this holiday season. I'm personally waiting for that model (dual analog and r2 l2 buttons/triggers added). I hope we'll see a drop for that when it's available.
Tyr808This controller looks amazing! The extra L2/R2 would make this the perfect travel pad for emulation... Assuming they've actually addressed the latency and button travel issues whilst in Bluetooth.
Miph120sorry no, I don't have any kind of insider information on this at all. I have no idea if that image is just a render mockup or will represent the final design.
The NES/FC pro models have the l2 r2 horizontally next to l1 r1. No idea if they will use that same design or not, but hopefully they listen to the negative criticism about the NES model and use the standard trigger layout.
TeliosAgreed. If they address the BT latency issues and use the standard trigger layout rather than the side by side layout they used on the NES/FC model, it would be the perfect classic controller. I use a steam controller for most things, but as great as that is the dpad is really lacking. If this SNESpro model comes out as good as we hope I'd instantly buy 4 for local multi
Tyr808Damn, I was looking for any info regarding the new ones. I'm trying to decide whether or not to join this drop, but the L2/R2 design is a deal breaker for me. I've heard great things about these controllers though, so I'd almost be willing to give it a shot.
Miph120Yeah I'm hoping a quality youtuber gets one right away and does a thorough review. I'll almost certainly pass if it doesn't have the standard bumper trigger layout though. Something like dual shock 2 even would be fine, although an analog trigger with even a small bit of throw distance would be amazing.
