Hi! Could someone explain the difference between this and a "real Prusa i3" is? Sorry if this is dumb I'm not familiar with this.

CitrusThe A8 is a Chinese "clone" of the Prusa. It uses cheaper components and any service if you have a problem will not be as good.
However it is cheaper and there is robust community support going on in the "OFFICIAL Anet 3D printer Support Group (Inc RepRap Prusa i3 clones)" facebook page, which can make it a good machine for learning how 3D printers are constructed and work, if your thinking of making it a real hobby or business.
