Ear impressions? are these actually custom fitted to each individual person? The description says nothing about that, actually, the description doesn't say a whole lot at all. I guess I'll go do some google-fu.

SnixpixYes they are. The C in CIEM stands for custom.

SnixpixI had the same question because the description should mention that you have to meet with a certified audiologist to mold the shape of your ear canal before you can have the custom fit. I'm interested in seeing how the custom fitting process works further with this particular company prior to parting with over $300. And after searching their site, the audiologist link isn't even a link (it's just printed text): http://www.acousticwerkes.com/resources.html

NahmeanHi Nahmean, we are moving to a new website, which is why some of the links are not complete at the moment. As we do have many international customers, we do try to offer some advice on finding a local audiologist. However, it will be really hard for us to make valid recommendations for cities such are thousands miles away. You may need to rely on local listings to find certified audiologists in your region. If you are unfamiliar with the custom fit process, you can try read through the first a few pages of this drop discussion board, where we had discussions regarding this matter. Also some drop participants have showcased the end result of their CIEM with pictures and etc:) Massdrop will also post instructions regarding the procedures when the drop ends.
