Could I use a USB C to Lightning cable with this SSD drive to use with an older MacBook Pro that doesn’t have usb C?

Last month you could get a Samsung T5 for less money with better ratings/reviews shipped in 2 days from Amazon, today $14 more. For $15 more you can buy insurance on data.

Hello glennac, Thank you for being so active! I am here to help answer questions pertaining to the product itself, such as the warranty, product specs, etc. Any other question should be directed to Massdrop; if you have anything you would like to ask, you can contact them through Massdrop Help Center.

There's no benefit to group buying. MD proved it by dropping the "M" lol

Now that MDs price on this has gone up, it's hard to justify when you can get a more desirable Samsung T5 500 GB drive for $97.

WylieAmazon must be doing 'Red Lining'. I'm seeing $97.99 ($98) from my direction. Massdrop is $10 cheaper with Free US shipping from my perspective.

Great little drive. I picked one up on Amazon on Feb 22. However, the 1 TB price on Amazon was $169.99 only 10 days ago. The price with immediate Prime shipping is $64.99 over there for the 256GB model. I really don't see the point of these Mass Drops. Why would anyone buy here and wait a month to get this when they can have it for the same price or less here? What is Massdrop thinking?

I'm using it to record with my Black Magic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K. It's not quite fast enough for Uncompressed RAW at 4K DCI 60FPS, but handles 3:1 compression and all lower resolutions/frame rates just fine. And it's 1/5th the price of the same capacity CFast card.
