How is this in terms of power and sleep states? Does it support DEVSLP (Device Sleep) like the SU800? What are the general specifications for power consumption, in general? I have an older laptop that I'd like to replace the HDD, and mobility and battery life are one of my top priorities when making a buying decision for an SSD.

SU800 is better than this one and it's cheaper. 1TB version was going for $79.05 on Amazon 4 days ago. Typical mASSdrop/Drop these days.

Would this be good as a boot drive? Or is the SU800 still the better choice there ? Both about the same price.

WakamaruAny SSD is great as a boot drive. The differences between them are really marginal when it comes to boot times. Alex

WakamaruThe SU750 is literally just the SU800 but without the cache, so the SU800 is still better for a boot drive. The SU750 is best as a game/Steam drive where the read speed can be fully exploited, but it is wholly serviceable as a boot drive. Still better than most mid tier SSDs.
