AyeLapayI wish I could find one - I've been looking for a good, smaller form-factor, digital preamp or integrated with 2 optical inputs and a remote, and everything I've seen is missing something. From what I can tell this has everything I need, but I can't imagine buying it without reading a review or 2. Unfortunately, I can't find anything.
WhyaduckWe have a sample unit here in the office I've been powering my Sierra 2 Ribbons with. It sounds exactly like you'd expect an Adcom unit to sound. Clean, powerful, and very fast. The lowest drop point here is pretty awesome for a unit that sounds this good IMO. I have previously been using either a Sprout or an M920 with a variety of lower wattage tube amps and the Adcom easily holds its own in this company and probably has the best sounding power amp section I've used with these speakers.
nicpopeInteresting... How its headphone section compared to Sprout? also what amp modules it uses?
Sprout has best Bluetooth implementation I've ever heard, would be interesting to know how is Bluetooth on this Adcom.
brainwaveI am listening to the headphone outputs right now with AAW W300's and the background is dead quiet and it has terrific dynamics. Overall really nice sounding headphone amp. Will play around with the AK240 and bluetooth later on today.
brainwaveHi, Just dropping into the conversation here.
ADCOM GIA 275 is using best Class D amps modules and power supply from Hypex.
In GIA 275 has Bluetooth V4.0 receiver supports A2DP & aptX (CD quality sound). The external antenna enables suburb and exceptionally stable Bluetooth reception.
sunilThanks for your comments. It's an interesting amp, however for a new and unknown product the current Massdrop price is really steep in today overcrowded market. Considering excellent competitors like PS Audio Sprout and Teac AI-501DA available for $400-$500 I would expect it be priced somewhere in this range, especially as a product launch.
