Ok - so I finally got the word in from Germany and tried to reply with this info in the threads where it was brought up, here it is for everyone at the top of the thread: - The agravic down jacket from adidas Terrex has 120g of 800 fill power 90/10 RDS Goose Down (vs 79g Mountain Hardware GW fill weight). Some if the added fill power can be attributed to the hood and the longer length. - In addition, our RDS down also has a pfc free water-repellant treatment (Dry down by Hyperdry)

nicbariInteresting. As I look at it, this is a 1.44 oz increase in down and a 3.3 oz increase in total weight. 52% more down and 44% more total weight. That's impressive to the point of being almost hard to process, especially given the cuff material and the added chest pocket. Do they say what material the inside and outside are made of? One of the issues with the GW is that it uses very delicate material - some people even consider this to be pushing the limit of what's reasonable for outdoor use.

nicbariOld Skool, the fabric on the Agravic is Pertex Quantum GL (7d inner & outer) which has the highest strength to weight ratio of all pertex fabrics - it is also soft to the touch . It's quite expensive material which is another reason this jacket retails higher than the GW (which I still think is a poor comparison to this product). This piece is more comparable to the Zero G from RAB which also uses Pertex Quantum, RDS, has a hood, uses 130g fill power, etc. If you compare these pieces, I think the Adidas Agravic will make a lot more sense. Given the Agravic is also using treated water repellent down, $350 msrp is really an incredible value.
