drinksoyQuantum GL has a dwr applied to it, but don't count on that to do more than repel mist and snow spray. Extremely light nylon fabric so any heavier moisture or raindrops will wet it out as the nylon absorbs some wet, as will excessive body moisture from the inside...not to mention the stitching, which will always be the achilles heel. Use a light shell over it if you need water protection or go with a WPB fabric down piece instead. The treated down is more of a small insurance against humidity to help it keep loft longer, but don't consider treated down as waterproof by any means. Still have to treat down as the fragile golden fleece that it is.
