How do owners feel about this weirdo lacing system? I have a pair of Terex that have traditional laces, which I enjoy. I'm not sure I want to take a chance on this kind of novelty.

dpj1I've had mine for 14 months, been across the country and they're still great. Just bought another set (non gortex) from dicks for super cheap

dpj1It appears to be similar to Salomon's quick-lace system...which have held up for 10 years of ridiculous abuse.

dpj1Similar to Salomon speed laces. Simple to use, keep tension very well. Used for over 500 miles on trail, shoes will give out before laces. But i carried an extra pair on the JMT - didn't need them. Salomon's laces would be a tough replace in the field. I wouldn't hesitate to buy Salomons again. Dont know about Adidas.

dpj1Long time hiker here. I have been using these shoes for many years now. The laces are fantastic. Read the directions to shorten them if needed to prevent to much excess lace. The mechanism has never failed me.
