SunshineGI would say neither if you asking about this model. Go to AdvancedElements.com and look into it - these items are options. You can get both but can only use one at at time. AV is coming out with a drop-stitch floor that "nests" a contoured back-bone but not available now on their website but they do make it for one of their German distributors (might have expanded to a US one by now). I have the AE1012 - a few minor differences from this model - I love it. Great if storage space and/or transportation is a problem.

SunshineGBy "i-beam" are you referring to the Backbone accessory or the actual standard i-beam inflatable floor? If you are referring to floor type, this drop comes with the standard i-beam floor. So, the drop-stitch floor or Backbone would be optional. It should be noted that with this shorter model, the drop-stitch floor or Backbone is not necessarily needed. I would recommend trying the Sport "as-is" and see if you really feel like you need the enhancement of the drop-stitch or backbone.
