Could I transport this using a bicycle?
ToussaintThe packed size in the duffel bag is 30" x 17" x 8", so i think it may be a bit big. We do have the AE3011 Kayakpack accessory that would enable you to carry it like a back pack though.

AE_SupportHey thanks for the quick response. I might be able to put something like that in my panniers. Hmm I'll have to consider it.

I started kayaking in the 70s and just can't get my head around this. It's very short and wide enough to be a Canadian canoe and is about the same weight as my 70s all fiberglass 4m slalom boat. So basically has the performance of a bath tub. I suppose suitable for drifting about on a small pond.
kenwstrThe Advanced Frame Sport is actually pretty fasy overall and rivals the speed of a hard-shell of the same length. The kayak is comfortable, paddles well, looks good and is quite stable. The open cockpit design of the Sport will appeal to those who want ease of entering/exiting, making it best suited for lakes, bays, calm rivers and inland waters. The aluminum ribs in the bow and stern make the kayak cut through the water very nicely.

Just received my Kayaks. Can't wait until the spring and I get a chance to take them out. These are my first inflatable Kayaks, so I opted for one of the foot bellows pumps, but how do you know you aren't over inflating? Do I need to go buy a pressure gauge now?
ts52WE recommend using our AE4000 In-line pressure gauge in combo with your bellows foot pump to achieve an accurate max pressure of 2 psi in the main chamber. Another tip you can try is once inflated pick the kayak up by its carrying strap at one end and give it a quick up and down shake. If there is any bend or bounce in the tube go ahead and add a little more air. -AE_Support www.advancedelements.com

I was in the last drop, love this kayak. If you're an apartment dweller and have access to a hose where you can properly wash down after use. It is the perfect choice and doesnt require any bulky roof racks.

I have an earlier model of the Advanced Element Kayak and it's fantastic. It's held up well in the past 5-7 years we've had it. It's easy to transport and clean as well. I highly recommend it!

Can I use this for low level whitewater? Class 1-3?

quihgonThis kayak is rated up to Class 2 ww. The reason is 2-fold: (1) The Sport is an open cockpit with no ability to attach a spray skirt for rougher (Class 3 and up) conditions, (2) The Sport is designed to track (hold a straight line) really well, so not quite as quick to pivot and turn in faster waters Class 3 and up.

Can this kayak withstand sharp oyster shells (ie South Carolina Coast region - Johns Island, Kiawah Island, Seabrook Island etc)?
mass1The 3 layer PVC Tarpaulin hull is very durable and puncture resistant, but I would always exercise caution coming in contact with any sharp objects when paddling inflatables. -AE_Support www.advancedelements.com

I'm 6'3", 240lbs. Would I be able to fit in this? I'm really keen to get a kayak and this seems great for price and convenience but i'm reluctant to join the drop without knowing if i'll actually fit!
FrankManic6'3" is pushing the max height for what we recommend in our Sport kayak. It also has a maximum weight capacity of 250 lbs which does not leave a lot of room if you plan to pack much gear. -AE_Support www.advancedelements.com

Just ordered! Love Kayaking, but hate transporting given that I own a Civic and I don't want to shell out $500+ on roof racks. This is good alternative and reviews look good on other sources.
