Hi Everyone - I hear your questions about this dry bag being waterproof versus water-resistant. The fabric (PVC Tarpaulin) with welded seams is waterproof, as is the roll-top closure when closed correctly. The reason Advanced Elements does not state this is waterproof is because the user could incorrectly close the bag, and then it wouldn't hold out water. The dry bag is waterproof, but not fool proof. As a result, Advanced Elements takes the conservative stance by calling this water resistant. We'll stick with calling this waterproof because I believe you all are smart enough to use the roll top correctly! Hope this helps explain the confusion in wording. @BLackRock1 @CarolineFelicity
