We've just heard back from the vendor again and here's the latest on the group's order:
Before the drop was launched, as part of our pre-drop process, we confirmed with the vendor that sufficient inventory was available to fulfill the group's order in a timely manner. After the drop ended, we placed the order with the vendor and again were told that the units were on hand and able to ship right away.
However, further investigation revealed that the vendor's inventory system mistakenly showed these units as available when, in fact, they were allocated elsewhere. Rather than continuing to hold the group's funds with an unclear ETA for the missing units, we believe the decision to cancel the drop is in the best interest of members and we will work to bring it back if and when the vendor remedies the aforementioned issues. Refunds for members will be applied to your payment method in 1-3 days.
