The AF-P newer version is a 70-300 with much faster focusing, but only works on newer DX cameras or fairly new with upgraded firmware. A much better lens, IMHO.
Hi friends ,
I have my D 3300 Nikon Camera , can any body tell me please if this lense will be competable and will work in a satisfied way with my Nikon Camera D 3300 , Very many thanks
Submariner2Works fine with my Nikon D3300. Auto focus is a little slow and sometimes doesn't lock at the 300 end of the zoom range. Trying a couple of times, or zooming out then focusing then zooming back in usually works.
Forgive the ignorance, is this the lens with the focus motors in the lens vice relying on the motors in the body. I have a D40 and was wondering if the autofocus will work with my body?
GerBillI had to perform some Google-Fu for a bit, but finally found the real difference. The lens is materially the same as a US version, but the international version does NOT have a valid warranty within the USA. So the $16 difference between what we have here on Massdrop and what we see on sites like B&H, 42Photo, or Ritz is that we can get service within the USA if we need it. I don't know about B&H or 42Photo, but according to Ritz's website they do warrant the product for 1 year, but apparently it is only valid with them as opposed to any other service station authorized to perform warranty work.
SamwiseInternational version is what we used to call gray market. Nikon will not honor the warranty for international versions of their products. B&H photo sells both US warranty and Gray market products so you need to be sure what you getting. They will tell you right up front which is which and they are clearly marked on the website. But they are great source for photo products and have no problem with returns. Good luck
