For me, this is a great DAC/Amp. I've had it for over 2 years and still love it. The build quality is great and it is very versatile. I route the audio from the PC via Digital-In for daily use, and could even transition the unit to be the receiver for a 2.1 setup HTPC when I move out. The only downside is that it is true what other reviewers say about the Bluetooth issues, particularly with range, so if that's a big thing for you, you may want to look elsewhere.

I love this for is diversity it sits as the hub to my room connected to tv, xbox one, ps4 bookshelf speakers and my computer..

The bluetooth function has some issues after using it for a while, once it sleeps and wakes up, you gotta turn the whole device on and off before you can connect to it via Bluetooth. pretty annoying. other than that, everything works great

I am pretty happy with this DAC. I use it mostly as DAC+headphones amplifier set, when I have some music listening time. Before that it was my main soundcard, connected via USB to my PC and drove the Harman Kardon Stick. Now as amplifier it drives now my AKG Kxx or, sometimes, the Sennheiser 598. It does the job very well, IMHO, with good quality flac files (most of my music are flacs, but there are some some few mp3 also). Of course, it's very personal and individual, depending on your own music style and headphones preferences, I just saying that in my case this piece does it's job not bad at all. Will I recommend it? Yeah, definitely.

I heeded the warning of previous owners and didn't use the remote (that seemed to be the source of the weird max volume problem) and have no issues in that regard. The sound quality is great and the unit feels very solid with hard stops on all of the knobs. However the largest problem is with the sound delay over usb. It is unusable for any music creation or even some video games. The latency starts off minimal but slowly creeps up to a two second delay. I do not regret the purchase though, it is extremely versatile for any use I need and even if I upgrade it will find use somewhere.

Probably my biggest regret on Massdrop. Pointometer (Volume Knob) failed on me in the first couple months, making the volume jump around on its own, often to full blast almost blowing up my speakers. Took a look on Massdrop and Amazon to see a ton of other people having the same issue. Submitted multiple tickets on TEAC's website over the course of several months and never got a response. Once got through to them on the phone, was told they'd call me back, and never heard from then again. Just save yourself a headache and get something else.

Love this little thing. The remote in garage but the unit itself is solid and sounds great.

This is so good. but volume output of headphone is too low. (Speaker -> 40~45 ohms, headphone -> 30~35ohms)

Good sound, decent power, seems very solidly built. I stream to an Airport Express, connecting to the amp via optical, driving a pair of Polk bookshelf speakers. Very audible clicking noise when disconnecting a streaming source (I'm guessing this is the sound of the amp moving into standby mode?). Not the end of the world, but freaks out our dog every time.

For the price, it sounds good and easy to use. However, the bluetooth connection is not stable.

Sound quality was disappointing.

Compact and versatile! It does everything!

The unit is solid and functions as advertised. Sound is very mediocre as a DAC and amp. One gets what one pays for in this case.

In honesty I sold it on pretty quickly but for a Class D amp with DAC it's quite good. The tonal balance leans towards "bass boost" and the presentation did not seem very neutral to me, but then I compared it with a pair of monoblocs costing more than 10 times as much. So...

works great with my totem acoustic dreamcatcher speakers.

I purchased this Unit for my Office. Great little do it all product. Has a small footprint and a nice remote that comes with it. Setup was a breeze. Value is great, packed with a bunch of features. I used Bluetooth the most with my phone and Tidal. Works wonders. Headphones out is decent. I’m not having issue powering anything I own. Bang for the buck is A1. Great unit for the office or just in a spare room.

Great little unit however this is a serious lag if you're using USB as your input source.
