Any improvements on the USB lag? I primarily game on the PC and any sound lag would be a deal breaker for me. I heard you can use optical out instead to eliminate the lag? How's this work with games and surround software? Thanks.

DonivanAre you planning on using this with speakers? If so, which do you have?
I contemplated getting the TEAC UD-301 until I was able to find sales on a Micro iDSD BL (BuyDig) and a pair of Dynaudio Xeo 2s with an additional discount (Amazon). Twice a year on Prime Day and around Cyber Monday, the Xeos get reduced to $799 on Amazon and you can stack additional discounts depending on what else is being offered (such as music or storewide discounts; check to see whether there's a harmony associate link) and whichever of your credit cards offers more. The Xeos are the only Bluetooth speakers I've ever heard that best my reference monitors from studio work; that can reproduce jazz and classical as capably as dub and crossbreed. I've used a PS4 Pro with mine through Bluetooth and optically through the Micro. I haven't experienced noticeable lag with either one.
I can definitely understand if that sounds like too much money to spend, but you also could be happy with a Creative Labs X7 if gaming is your main concern, and we see sales on it periodically. The BF sale on MD offered it for nearly the same price as the TEAC you're looking at now.

DonivanOptical is my go to option on this amp, I have avoided the USB because of clicking and popping issues between audio tracks. Been lucky my Teac AI-101DA (Sep 14, 2017) is still working fine with no issues yet, knock on wood.
