Just received it today. Drives my SVS Ultra's to perfection.

XcraftSince you actually have one, and since those speakers are reviewed to need more power, I'm very interested in some more detail from you, if you don't mind please.
Or from anyone else who cares to detail what they are driving with this 101DA and where its limits are.

scopeI recently purchased the CR-H101 version of this (roughly the same thing with the addition of a CD player) and I think it does a wonderful job, particularly when paired with the right speakers. I use mine with some Klipsch RP-160Ms. The sound is fabulous and can get quite loud (upper 90 dBs in my 1500 cu. ft. listening room). Between the two, I think you’d be hard pressed to come up with something that sounds better for $800 all in. Now admittedly, the RP-160Ms are highly sensitive speakers (96 dB @ 2.83V/1m), but they give me the confidence of knowing I can go pretty loud before I start to run the risk of damaging my speakers due to clipping.

scopeI would be happy to answer any questions you may have. I am using this setup in my office which is bedroom sized. I was originally planning on upgrading down the road as I thought I would need more power. I was pleasantly surprised with this unit and have no plans to upgrade now.

Major_InfidelThe amp/preamp is quite nice. The only thing I would add is that TEAC is terrible on warranty issues. I have a CR-H101 as well, and the CD player did not work out of the box. The service center people ordered the part last September. TEAC said it might take 90 days. It's been 150 and still no part. The service center people told me this is very common with TEAC.

Major_InfidelI have the AI-101 model and I also have it powering a pair of the 160m's in near-field and an SVS PB-2000 sub and I have a dilemma; I plan on going with an Emotiva pre-amp/amp pairing and I worry that it won't sound that much better than the TEAC! Lots of headroom but will they actually sound better? I sure hope so; I have the pre-amp arriving today. heh
