GetzTheGoldfishI guess the usual excuse - "it's huge and heavy", wont work here. However - no shipping to Canada. It would be nice to read some reasoning, since this issue goes in circles.

WolchowSo the issue on this one is that factoring in the potential added weight of the speaker option doesn't allow the shipping to scale because international shipping factors weight differently than domestic. Honestly trying to think of a solution as this isn't the only time this has happened. We're definitely always trying to make sure we can ship everywhere but I'll tell you the two most common reasons why international shipping is disabled on a drop:
1) Really expensive, heavy, or large items are insanely expensive to ship internationally. 2) Dealer/distribution agreements prevent us from selling outside of the United States.

nicpopePerhaps then a suggestion to whoever handles the email stuff... Stop including links in it to items that cannot be shipped to Canada in them as it's frustrating to go "oh neat, look at this item at an awesome price but it doesn't ship to Canada".
Either that or talk with the distributors and get them to stop being so silly about their restrictions. We live in a global world, companies need to stop thinking regionally/nationally as the supposed big picture.

nicpopeIts def. not the first one, since I don't need the speakers and without them the package will be fairly small. Can you please elaborate on the second one?

WhiteWulfeTotally agree with this, if you won't ship me an item then don't send me emails about it! Seems more products are only for us shipping, or maybe just the items I viewed

WhiteWulfeWow, you can't get more spoiled than that. You want massdrop to filter their mass-email so that your demanding self doesn't feel bad when you click on a link and no shipping g outside the US shows up! Just get out of the email lit and browse the webpage.
I am from Canada, and I ask massdrop nor to filter their emails by shipping feasibility.

MMMMMFrom a web development perspective (dev here), adding this sort of functionality wouldn't be very complicated to implement; I think it would greatly improve sales on the site. I hardly consider it to be a "spoiled" or "demanding" request.

PixelzMy comment also mainly came out of frustration that it seems half (or more) of what I'm even remotely interested in that's mentioned in the emails is US only, at least going by the past few weeks of emails I've received. The whole point behind the email in the first place is to inform, followed by actually getting the sale. Sending out an email with half of the products being ones I'm not able to buy makes customers go "well, guess you don't want my business then" which is a pity due to the potential MassDrop has.
