Using this with my AKG K7XX headphones (upgrade from uDAC3 DAC/amp) and it sounds great. It's a solid product overall, but I do run into the slight audio lag problem when using it with Windows 10 and a USB input, which for me is about 0.1 seconds. When I switched to an optical input, the lag was gone, so it's looking like more of a driver issue than anything else. I haven't tested the speaker output yet, but as for headphones, when driving the K7XX's I only get audible hiss (noise) when going all the way up to -6dB, which is LOUD. For reference, nearly everything I listen to can be driven at ~-45dB, and some quieter songs at -35dB, so this has a very clean headphone amp.
Note: If you have one of these, to test for audio lag yourself, try one of the A/V sync test videos, like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bCPEidaVzQU

jtgabaldonThe whole reason I bought into this drop was to replace a USB DAC/Amp that I currently own, which has had tons of driver issues with WIN10... How bad are the driver issues for this device???

Rodgers74So the only issue I have found is with the audio lag. The computer will connect to the device just fine, and all of the relevant options like bitrates and channels can be set with no issues. Pretty much, everything is great other than the lag, so it's still a great DAC/Amp, I would just suggest using an optical S/PDIF to connect if you have Win10. However, it looks like some people are not getting this issue, so it could just as well be the USB drivers for the motherboard itself, which would not surprise me as I have had sporadic mouse/keyboard lag in the recent past. Bottom line: you may be lucky and not get audio lag over USB, but the best option would be to stick with optical output as it is the most reliable solution for now.

Rodgers74I just tested the device with my Win10 laptop over USB, and the lag issue is also there.

jtgabaldonDually noted, and I appreciate the response. I was experiencing complete BSOD with my other DAC/amp due to USB drivers, so I think the lag issue won't be as troublesome. I'll definitely give the optical output a shot if the lag issue does appear though. Thanks!
