You’re in the club, hitting the one’s and two’s, and those flashy neon headphones you’re rocking rip out of the audio port and snap in half. You don’t need distractions while laying down grooves and you don’t need headphones with more superficial sizzle than stereophonic steak Read More
I looked up the HD25 syndrone recommended. Oddly, even though they're marketed toward DJs like these TMA-1s, none of the ones I saw have a coiled cord - which makes them problematic for DJ use. Just my $0.02.
markr04you can get a coiled cable for the HD25s, but honestly unless you are jumping around stage like steve aoki, the straight cable that comes with the HD25s is fine. long enough to reach even on a 4 deck setup.
my headband cracked on my first pair of tma-1's after 10 months light use. never was abused. the customer support is good though, shipped me another pair since it was under a year still. other than that, they're good.
I tried these at Best Buy quite a few months ago. I was really shocked at how amazing they sound, did not expect that coming from a pair of headphones that look like these. Was easily the best sounding from the ones they had on display. They aren't for purists, but if you love EDM, these are pretty damn good. I'm trying not to jump because i've got Amperiors for work, but the temptation is strong!
I have the regular TMA-1's and am considering picking up a second pair for work.
They do have a high low-end response, but this helps isolate quite a bit. These headphones don't bleed audio while they are on your head either. I paid $250 after taxes and shipping abut a year ago, and would gladly pay $150 for a second pair today.
I have the "Fool's gold" edition. Same as these but with yellow cables. They are pretty good. A bit bass heavy maybe so not ideal for all kinds of music. Build quality is excellent and they are very comfortable.
