Thanks again for joining this drop! We have submitted the group's order with the vendor for the Air Blue Alpha Watch and they are working hard to prepare it for shipment.
As soon as the group's order is ready at the vendor's location, they will send the bulk shipment to our warehouse in New Jersey where our warehouse team will break it up into individual orders and ship them. The current estimated ship date from our warehouse is 8/9.
We will keep the group updated throughout the fulfillment process. You can expect an update from us by the end of the day Pacific Time on 8/3.

OK, I have a question. I always buy watches with screw-down crowns. Here on mass drop it says the Air Blues have screw-down crowns but on the Air Blue website nothing is mentioned as to what kind of crown they have, screw-down or push-pull. Can someone please clear this up for me before I make a purchase??
rfdharleyI can confirm 100% that it is a screw-down crown. Enjoy your new watch!

now it's 50$ lower then on kickstarter a year ago what a strange attitude from manufacturer - I think that it's disrespect of those who pledged the first ones so bad

Nice looking watch. My opinion, not worth $144.99

elcon105With a sapphire crystal, stainless steel case, and Seiko automatic movement, how do you figure it's not worth at least $145? I may not care for it, but it appears to be a solid value.

Looks to be a good value, but man, this must be the thousandth example of a pilot-type watch in this (almost exact) style. At least it's thousands less than an IWC version, and it's available in a reasonably-sized case.

WillVautrainIt's because this watch, like many others, it a homage to the B-Uhr Type A and Type B faces. The B-Uhr watches were manufactured by numerous companies during WWII, and have become the quintessential pilot's watch. Their legibility and simplicity plays a large part in their popularity as well.

brj1IWC, Lange & Sohne, Wempe, Laco and Stowa manufactured the B-Uhr for the Nazi government during WWII. There are homages to the B-Uhr, Laco used to make a fairly true-to-form one (the original was 55mm wide), but this watch is really a synthesis of a bunch of different pilot and pilot-style watches. The A version has an IWC Mark XI-style dial, the B has a B-Uhr-style dial, and the C has a Zenith Special-style dial. The case is fairly shaped like an archetypal British WWW, which was not a pilot's watch at all. Anyway, to each his own. It seems a good value, I'm just experiencing pilot-style watch fatigue after encountering many, many such watches over the past 20 years or so. If you want one, you could do much, much worse (damage to your wallet, at least) than dropping $145 on this one.

Ive got 2 Deep Blues and one Air Blue and have been extremely satisfied with the quality. Best bang for your buck for sure, especially with a sapphire crystal and an auto to boot.

The crown seems a bit prominent.

it-manI have one of these from their Kickstarter campaign. You are correct, the crown is a bit prominent, but it doesn't cause me any issues as you might think. I've been very happy with the watch.
