Air Blue Delta Watch

Launched on Kickstarter in 2015, the Air Blue brand—a spinoff of dive-watch specialist Deep Blue—comprises more than 20 different pilot’s watches. The Delta Auto is powered by Seiko’s NH35 automatic movement, a hand-winding and hackable movement with 24 jewels and a 41-hour power reserve. The dial pays tribute to classic aviator styling, with its Flieger hands, triangle at 12 o’clock, hour numerals on the inner chapter, and minute numerals on the outer chapter. For legibility, the hands and markers are treated with SuperLuminova.

The Delta Chrono offers the addition of a chronograph. It’s powered by Swiss Ronda 3520 quartz movement, which allows for a 12-hour complication at 12 o’clock and a 60-second timer at 6 o’clock. Pushers at 2 and 4 control the chronograph, while the crown at 3 o’clock controls the time and a date window at 3 o’clock. Like the automatic model, the inner chapter ring features hour markers while the outer chapter ring displays minute markers. Also like the automatic model, the Chrono is fitted with a slightly domed sapphire crystal and SuperLuminova on the hands and hour markers.
