I was interested in this keyboard. It does look sexy, and it's similar in layout to my old KBT Race (which was stolen). There wasn't a picture of the black version so I did a search and I'm really glad I did. I found a review on Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/MechanicalKeyboards/comments/3tbswv/reviewso_i_got_one_of_those_china_boards_ajazz/
It's just one guys opinion and he's not a mech keyboard guy outright, but damn is it stinging. This keyboard might be fine and he might have just got a dud, but also looking at the price, it might be a case of getting what you pay for. I think I'll avoid this drop.
In general, I'm getting kinda disappointed that I can't find review for a lot of the stuff I see on MassDrop. Like the Kanto speakers they keep putting up. A search for the exact same model number comes up with a totally different speaker set.

djsumdogFor something comparable to your KBT Race, look at the Noppoo Choc 84 instead. Or the Keycool 84. They occasionally show up here on Massdrop.
Massdrop source stuff straight from China and Taiwan for the most part. You'll pretty much have to read Chinese to be able to Google the original reviews back in China or such. That's how I dug up the source for the Zorro switches.

kschangI use to own a Noppoo Choc Mini. I was using it with a Macbook and had to do the trick where you use a USB->PS/2 converter and then a bluecube to get USB again (because of it's weird n-key rollover controller that simulated multiple keyboards, you'd get constant double/triple letters in MacOS making it unusable). Later I used it on Linux and I'd occasionally get double letters (both with and without the bluecube .. probably bad switches or a hardware bug).
The Keycook 84 looks nice, but I really prefer the lipless design like on the Pok3r keyboards (but hate its lack of dedicated arrow keys). I might just buy this and if they switches suck, I can always order a bunch of MX blues and make it a fun weekend project.

metoolioYep. It looks plate mounted too, so even if you only wanted to replace some of the switched, you'd have to unsolder all of them to remove the plate and then solder them all back in. It's not that difficult; just a lot of time.

djsumdogYou're right on the money, have to de-solder the entire board, then remove the switches from the plate. I'm in the middle of doing the same thing with this board.
