Pattern Yourself
Featuring 32-voice polyphony and loaded with over 700 sounds produced by Chronic Music, the XR20 contains all the drum kits you need to make modern hip-hop and electronic beats. After selecting a Preset pattern or designing your own User pattern, take to the 12 velocity sensitive backlit pads and mix things up until you hit just the right rhythm.
Step to It
With a Step Edit mode that allows you to edit your pattern’s events and an automatic quantisation to clean up any mistimed notes, you can tweak your beat easily until you find perfection. Also built with a microphone input to enable added vocals, a brightly backlit LCD screen to view all of your settings, and reverb, EQ, and compression effects for a final touch, the Akai XR20 Beat Production Station brings you one step closer to global beat domination.
