Is the cable detachable?

The description says it's a fixed 3m cable, that is a turn off to me. I like having a longer cable available at a reasonable price but not at the expense of portability.

NorgiI agree, having a non detachable non replaceable cable is a turn off indeed.

NorgiYah, the long cable is kind of catch, .. so to speak. On one hand, it saves on total amount of connection points, versus say have a plug in cable, or a cable extension, which would be one more solder socket and one more solder plug, for signal effect and point of potential failure, cause plugs can break connection too. on the other-hand it can be unwieldy.. I wouldnt let that stop you for a very accurate at-home headphone, or maybe get one of those wire pulleys or maybe stock some iems for portability. the price for the quality an accuracy is really low enough, i think to warrant two sets, and maybe cut one cable, if you must, thanks to massdrop community, to help afford a second set of phones n the side. Compared to spending say 500 bucks a few years ago for less lesser headphones.. It`s very well designed, the headphone, and cable is well built in. I think it`s reinforced in the can, so that it`very hard to wreck the cable, if not nearly impossible without say, activly trying to break it.. with scissors.
