Are the ear pads replaceable on these headphones? Any velour options / mods?

Im420manEarpads are replaceable. Not sure about compatibility, but a quick google search is bound to come up with some options :)

I did some research and those seem to be the optimal replacement pads other than stock. Thanks for the reply.

Did you mod yours to have a removable cable? If so, is there a guide on how to do it?

Im420manwhat is the point? it is a great quality cable that is installed. and they are not ideal for an on-the-go headphone. if you take them outside, they wont last long.

dwane5It could be to easily pack up the headphones when traveling, or to be able to use a shorter cable if you were plugging these into an amp on your desk say, and you didn't want to deal with a 3m cable. I personally bundled a couple feet of my cable with a rubber band, rather than risk modding my headphones with no experience, but others with more experience in this area might want to remove their cables for any number of reasons, including the ones stated above.

dwane5I totally did this mod because I planned to use them as my on-the-go headphones and braided cable was so annoying. ;) ( + I bought a audio-technica bluetouth receiver because it's so much fun to don't have a cable that runs down to your phone) 2 months and a half and they still holds up (and whatever in my head they're also my DIY headphone now so I would be able to change the drivers if necessary)

dwane5Multiple reasons: cable length, cable quality, cable swap-ability, packing, and on the go. Headphones last as long as you take good care of them not necessarily how many times you take / use them outside.
