Okay hear me out guys. The thing is, i'm right now sitting with a low end headset, the Logitech G430. I do really like the bass in these and i have tried my friend's Sennheiser 515 which i found very dry in sound and almost no bass. So the question is, would the bass in AKG 553 be able to compare with some nice bass compared to the Sennheiser 515 and the G430? I'm a little bit of a base head :D Would it be a better solution for me to go with the DT770 maybe? How does DT770 compare to AKG 553 in terms of base? I mostly game and hear music from Pogressive house to action movie-ish music and fantasy music. Sry for the huge chunk of text, i hope someone is able to help me out in my concerns <3

Kaos740DT770 has unbearable highs and treble by most Head-Fi users. If I had to go for anything, especially considering your basshead-gaming hybrid nature, go for a higher-up open-back headphone from BeyerDynamic. Easily some of the best bass-heavy headphones in their class, especially for open-backs, and considering your gaming use thats a good thing, I'd try for say the 990 Pro 250 ohm. Relatively cheap, though you will most likely need a decent amplifier to drive them.
Also, no matter what anyone tells you, NEVER GET V-MODA M-100s. I had em, they sucked, too much bass and very uncomfortable for over an hour of use.

nageorgiou2Awesome, thanks for the reply. I don't know if you ever had the Logitech G430 or Sennheiser 515, or tried them out, but do you think no matter what the bass would be better in those AKG 553 no mattter what? Since this seems like a pretty high end pair of headphones compared to the low end 515 and G430 which iv'e tried out. I need something to compare to :/

Kaos740I am just going to be honest these pair of headphone will not have the bass to satisfy your needs if you found the dt880 flat then these are flatter in bass this not the website to look for good bass it is more about the detail in music

Kaos740As an owner of some K545s, I feel the K553s might not be a good fit for you. The K545s are a bit lacking when it comes to bass; if it's true that the K553s are even more neutral than the K545s, then you will likely be disappointed.

TwelveWingsI'm looking at the DT770 right now and seems pretty good, do you know which one of these have better soundstage? Some say the Dt770 have a bigger sound stage. It kinda confuses me tho, since the AKG 553 is double the price of DT770 in my country

Kaos740I'm sorry. I haven't tried the DT770s. My experience is currently limited exclusively to the K545s.

TwelveWingsDt770s dont even compare to these. Highs are WAY too crazy. However if you have the K545s, I'd keep the K545s, as they're classified as an improvement on these.

Kaos740Not really. If you want more bass, go for the 545, but even then the bass can be lackluster for bassheads. Again, if you want to stay at home, the DT990s are the way to go. However, if you want mobile cans as well, I wouldn't recommend the 770s. The highs are just pure disgust. I can't think of many good closed-backs cans for basshead gamers. The most I can think of is the M50x, but the sound staging sucks. The V-Moda M-100 seems promising, but trust me they REALLY suck. They're too bass heavy and either uncomfortable or poor sounding. I cant help you much with your selection if you want Closed-back. Sorry.
