I'm wondering if these are for me? I've got a Sennheiser HD700 and for gaming and skype I use a Sennheiser PC363D. I've got a ASUS Essence STX II and a xDuoo TA-01 Tube Amp/DAC and I'm wondering if these are as good or better then my HD700 since this is an awesome deal and they look much more comfortable and better build then the HD700 and PC363D but I'm unsure if I should pick these up. Also whats the diffrence between these and the normal AKG K702? Thanks in advance for those who can answer my question :)

StunningCoffeeThe HD700 are a superior headphone to these, but that's not fair to compare headphones costing $200 to ones costing ~$700. I would not buy these if you were looking strictly for an upgrade. You are going to be spending quite some money for a technical upgrade from the HD700.
On the other hand, each headphone has a different sound signature and sound good in different ways. I too have a pair of HD700, which I love, but there are some downsides to them (can be fatiguing and leak sound excessively at loud volumes). Only reason to consider these K7XX is if they compliment the weaknesses of your Sennheisers (I am not sure of this) or just to try something new.

AdamJWell I was wondering about that since the MSRP says they ussualy go around 650 so I thought it was something of a similair class but leakage is not a problem for me and yes they do get a bit uncomfortable after a while thats why I mostly use my PC363D and weirdly enough I like the sound of those more then my HD700's I don't know why. But thank you very much for responding got a little bit confused :)

StunningCoffeeMSRP for HD700 on amazon is $999.95, but actual value new is ~$700. The actual value of these K7XX new is likely between $300-$400.
Maybe leakage wasn't the proper term to use, but if you turn the volume up loud enough (with enough power from an amplifier) those HD700 will be as loud as small speakers.

AdamJSennheiser had a lot of sales recently. HD700 was $425 NEW and $325 LIKE NEW. You'll probably start seeing some HD700s on the market for cheaper than $700.
And since the same thing is happening to the K7XX I don't think the street price will go that high unless you wait for a long time(then you risk another drop).

AdamJAh yeah I have my sound card at 10% when I'm using my HD700 thats loud enough for me haha
So these are pretty much like the K702? Because thats pretty much the thing if I can just buy those and get the same sound quality as these and same comfort then I'll just get those don't really care for limited edition but thought these were also special in that they would sound beter etc. and are more comfortable.
Thanks for all the good answers :)

StunningCoffeeWhat AdamJ said. Also, I have a friend who swears the HD700 is the most comfortable headphone he's ever worn. I don't think this would be an upgrade in comfort.
