jacobinhoThey're not initially taxed for international orders. I believe California and another state require taxing. So if you're in the states don't worry about taxes

jacobinhoNot sure if you're gonna get taxed but I've participated in two drops before each under $100 no tax there. There might be import fees if you live in another country besides USA. Again I didn't have to pay any import fees for the drops I participated in previously. I live in Canada just so you know.

SparrowHAWXMy understanding is that you're always SUPPOSED to pay import tax on international orders, but if the package ships through canada post then 90% of the time you won't be charged (whereas anything that ships through puralator or fedex or anything else will always be charged duty) because they just don't bother to check the majority of the packages.

ScruffySCI'm hoping that Canada Post is going to be too overwhelmed with the amount of packages coming through that they let this slide through import taxes. My Philips Fidelio L1 was taxed and that came up to $26 extra for something that was $105 USD from the start

ScruffySCThough I'm not from Canada, I can agree that almost all of my purchases that are delivered via regular post (phlpost for me) as opposed to couriers like FedEx don't get taxed.

neiru37in nz, you only get taxed if the tax amount is more than $60 :)

neiru37It depends on the cost of the item. Legally in Canada, anything under $20 is not taxed but in my experience if it's small and doesn't cost that much more($30-$40ish) Canada Post doesn't bother to tax it. But on big items or more expensive items, they will tax it like the Code Keyboard I got from MassDrop.

Dark3nedI got taxed on anything coming to canada through canadapost, dhl, purolator and the rest....they are just a bunch of a$$ho*les. I got even taxed for my own used stuff that I shipped back to canada.
Canadapost contracts some brokers at port of entries and with the tacit agreement of the government they tax people without any justification....some big huge BS.

ManroopI live in Quebec . You didn't get charged any taxes. The $250 price you paid was just the conversion from USD to CAD. I also paid $250 which is what I calculated the conversion to be.

ScruffySCFrom my experience as well it seems that other shipping carriers would charge me import fees. But whenever they pass it to Canada Post they never charge me import fees. I'm hoping that's the case again here just like the last two drops I participated in. Otherwise I expect to get a massive import fee as I was once charged $40 of import fees on the Steelseries Siberia V2 which was ~$100 :/

Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?

Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

Recommendation for my next headphone set? I have Koss 95x

Hey all, What would you recommend I get next and why? I have Koss ESP-95x electrostatic massdrop headphones. These are my first and only audiophile set. I love them. I think my only real requirements is $500 or less for the headphones and that they have a little more low end. I don’t need thump but these are really light on lows…but the experience is still awesome. Also any recommendations on an amp? I only have my electrostatic thingy. I am using the Topping D50 DAC. thx!!

Should I exchange the PC38X for better headphones?

I bought the PC38X headphones FOR GAMING and they are great, but I have NO use for a Microphone since I don't do competitive gaming and I was wondering if there were better headphone options at a similar price without a headphone, where (presumably) more of the cost was put into making it sound better. I also find that my PC38X don't get quite as loud as I would like and I was wondering if a cheap amp like the iFi Go link would draw a little more volume out of my phones. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BN6MM822?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details I went with the PC38X since it was considered the best bang for buck headphones.
