Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

I can’t tell you how much we appreciate the patience and understanding you’ve shown throughout the fulfillment of this drop, the largest in Massdrop history.
The K7XXs headed to you have traveled over 7000 miles. They’ve made it through technical trouble at sea, the port of Long Beach, and all manner of planes trains and automobiles racing cross-country. As of today, nearly all the K7XXs have arrived at our fulfillment center.
That said, some orders have encountered unexpected problems. About 35 units were shipped via UPS surepost instead of three-day, we’re talking to UPS and we’re trying to upgrade their shipping service. In addition, there was a printing error with some of the labels, so around 70 orders were double shipped and they’re set to receive twice as many K7XXs as they ordered. We’re working with UPS to recall those shipments, but some are too far through the process to be recalled. Those members that got double-shipped will be contacted and we’re working with them to return the extra units for re-distribution as quickly as possible. Because of the double shipments, 70 units haven’t shipped out yet. Those who have had their orders recalled, and those who haven’t had their orders shipped yet, will have their shipping service upgraded once their orders are re-dispatched. At this point everything is on track for ~90% of orders and we’re doing everything we can to do right by the members affected by our mistakes.
It’s gratifying to see the positive posts from people who have received their K7XXs but we know our job isn’t done until every unit is delivered.
Thank you all, none of this would be possible without the Massdrop community. You’ve been incredibly patient through this process and we really appreciate it.
It's not hard to see that MD intended to use a shipping option that would get the HP out in time since you guys were able to stick to your initial timetable. I think 4 business days is enough time to resolve all the issues so that everyone gets their HP by Christmas.
yet you still blamed MD for choosing surepost :)
You guys have the best customer support!
Your case is rather unique, since your order was originally a Canadian order and then revised to an US order based on your request.
I know Libby is looking into this shipment specifically for you, we'll follow up via email once we hear more.
So in three days USPS has moved the package a couple kilometers. From Libby's response it appears nothing can be done. I guess I sent the first email too late for such a busy part of the year. How much time in advance should I attempt to get a hold of you guys in the future?
Its also sad to see what poor shipping options Canadians get which costs 15 dollars. Some of the people whos item was mislabeled and sent to the wrong location will probably have it returned to you guys and arrive at the proper location before USPS even gets it halfway across the country.
