Unfortunately, I haven't had the chance to listen to the 880s any of those 32 250 600ohms options. But from the measurements, I can tell they're all good headphones. It's really a matter of balance preference and comfort so you really have to try them all and decide for yourself. :)
Yea. will all 3 support surround ? The nice thing about the k7xx is they are like half off where the dt880 are like 35 percent off. I do like the philips x1 buthe they are 235 bucks retail and these dt880 and k7xx retail at much higher so prolly much better quality sound ? Hmm.
Between these and the philips which would you recommend for gaming ?
surround sounds are software technologies supported by sound cards so :)
If K7xx are the same as 65th Annie, they're not bass heavy at all. They don't boom boom :) Might not be the perfect choice for movies and gaming. About 13 months ago, Amazon used to sell X1 for $150 for a short period of time. The price has never reached anywhere near that ever since..
I would go for these instead of the DT880s, personally. I've got the DT880s already, and they're really nice, but I don't think they're better than these (based on my having previously owned the K702). Both the K7XX and the DT880 should be really comfortable and have great sound quality.
Well from the Hi-Fi music lovers view point, these have dead amazingly accurate good bass. overall sound quality is pro class. Their bass is just not over hyped xDD
I've never compared them, but by reputation and looking at frequency response graphs I'd expect K7XX to have more bass than DT880. I did compare the K7XX to the DT990, which is supposed to have more bass than the DT880, and the K7XX has more bass overall: the DT990 has a higher peak in the upper bass, but K7XX bass is broader and deeper.
Have a look at this chart: http://graphs.headphone.com/graphCompare.php?graphType=0&graphID[]=963&graphID[]=2141&graphID[]=2931&graphID[]=4163&scale=15
Since they don't have the K7XX (or K702 65th Anniversary Edition it's based on), I've put in the Q701 and K712; the K7XX should be somewhere between them (probably somewhat closer to the K712 in the bass and lower-midrange, and closer to the Q701 in the upper-midrange and treble—at least that's how it sounds to my ears). I hope that helps you visualize what I heard in my comparison with the DT990, and helps give you an idea of what to expect versus the DT880.
