I have Samsung note 4. I would like to use these with the phone and off my laptop. What amp is recommended and is portable? Amazon pairs a couple of amps with the this headset, what are the thoughts on these?.

bwasbThe work around is using a short minipin patch cable to go from the headphone jack on the S4 to the input on the amp. It may take a bit of fiddling to get the sound to your liking, since the volume on both and how they play together are variable. This would work with *any* amp. Amps like the E18 utilize a Micro USB OTG cable to remove the android DAC and volume controls from the equation. This should also work with the E17s, and several other portable amp/DACs, the JDS C5D being one alternative: http://www.jdslabs.com/products/84/c5d-amplifier-dac/
