Ok now i guess it's my turn to give my impressions about the 7XX's since i've been using them a few days now I'm not an audiophile in any way, but i'll try to give an average, standard consumer point of view Here is my gear : Flac files and up / FiiO X3 2nd generation Other headphones : Sennheiser momentum 2.0 ; Sennheiser HD598 SE
* Build : not the sturdiest ever, for sure, but also not the cheapest. They are heavier than what I expected. But I would not throw them against a wall (wait. why the hell would I do that) * Comfort : really amazing. Light clamp pressure. Really easy to forget that they are on your head. Equal to the HD598, if not better. * Sound : They need juice for sure (volume was pretty low with iPhone 6 for example) but the FiiO X3II drives them easy i think. I can't push the volume to the point it will HURT my ears like i could do on the momentums for example (wait. why would I do that) but the max volume is mooooore than enough. I usually listen between 50 and 75% volume and it's enough. I couldn't find the right words to decribe the trebs and mids, but they are...great lol. No fatigue at all I'll expand more on the bass : they are REALLY, REALLY good. I sometimes heard that they was too weak, too flat etc, but seriously guys how much bass to you need ?? Ahah. And at first i tought i was a kind of basshead lol. Now the HD598 is something that i call really flat. But definitely not the 7XX's. I was really surprised. Because of the HD 598, i tought that all open cans were somewhat lacking bass, by definition...but not at all Enough bass for electronic music (what do I mean by enough ? hmmmm... i don't know if it helps, but when i put my hands on the earcups at 70-80% volume, i can feel them vibrating on each boom. Not the HD598, even at 100% volume), and just the right amount for orchestral music (oh boy, the double basses and cellos) If the most flat headphone ever is -100 and the most boomy one is +100, i'd say that K7XX = 0, just right between the two Soundstage : really wide (close your eyes and listen "virtual haircut" on youtube to test your cans https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8IXm6SuUigI) Sound leak : yes (but its not a con, since the cans are built to this purpose)

I'll give it some minor cons now : The velour on the earpads are amazing, but will attract dust and lint over time (like any velour pads tought..) so you may need to clean them sometimes The 3m cable is too long (for me) since I use a portable player (even at home) (I'm trying to find a good quality and short one, if you guys know a good one and not too expensive...)
Of course, you may not agree since this opinion only engages my ears
Finally, thanks Massdrop for fast delivery (even here in France) and for the nice drops you guys provide Thanks for reading
