HD6XX, don't even play around like that. Having both those and the K7XX, get the Sennheiser. You'll need an amp though.
The K7XX have a flimsy plastic suspension system that will break over time and the soundstage is too big. A complaint about SS being too big, a lot of detail gets lost and it starts to sound too space for most music. Bass is also not as prominent as other cans.
Had mine for 3 or 4 years as well, it's definitely an issue. If you don't baby them constantly, you'll be like me - shopping on Massdrop for new cans because moving your head in certain ways can cause an ear to cut out. Not a big deal, can just re-solder the connections inside, if you have a soldering iron. Had a similar issue with my Grados a few years back because they spin 360 degrees and it can twist off the wires inside.
I've seen others comment on the soldering inside too. The connections disconnect and they have to be resoldered or you have to find one spot and not move. It's on headfi.
The plastic suspension and inside wiring are issues.
