Just received mine from the previous drop, so, to clarify, the only difference between those and the current ones dropping is the "First Edition" on the box?

Edit:
These are the first open back headphones I own. I've previously owned a Beyerdynamic Custom One and an AKG K553 Pro, both of which are pretty comfortable and sound great. The K7XX is even more comfortable as f-ck.
A nice pro is that the cord is detachable for the K7XX (same for the Custom One's but not for the K553's) but I'm a bit averse to taking it out as the cord is pretty damn long. Looking forward to pairing it with my Monoprice DAC soon.
well, the box DOES say limited edition, so there's probably only around 6000 of those boxes (one box per pair), they do have individual numberings(the cans that is), but as stated earlier the newer ones won't say 'first edition'. About keeping the box, you might want to keep it if you want full 'collection value' if/when you sell it. Otherwise I personally don't see a problem with throwing it away/folding i up and store it in a drawer.
[edit]: Also, the cans might, MIGHT have addressed some of the issues present on the 'first' editions (rattle inside one of the ear-cups for example), I have nothing to back this other than a vague hint about 'tweaking' the 'limited' edition...
I'm not sure if the rattling is as big an issue as people say it is. Tested and they rattle bad too, but only at 1) painful volume AND 2) ultra low frequencies. I never ever hear any rattling with regular use.
Then I just wonder what these 'tweaks' I heard about even are, cosmetic? Even more tweaked/matched drivers? Or I'm just missinformed for some odd reason (which isn't that unusual at all)?
