Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The K7XX can be sold for a PROFIT at this price point as AKG repurposed parts they already had. No new R&D costs or manufacturing molds, tools, etc. The difference is color and slapping on 'K7XX'. They changed what they print on their packaging. Massdrop allows AKG to skip retailers and they don't have to advertise or market this product. All of these factors together allow for a cheaper to produce and sell product.
If they had to make it from the ground up and sell it to retailers, market it, etc. I'm sure they would indeed sell the K7XX at the $649.99 MSRP.
