Hey guys, Can anyone tell me where you get the music you listen to from? or do you just steam it on youtube? I'm really lost on where to get high quality music.. Also free would be nice ;)

SchmexyIf you are looking to be a "true" audiophile the bit rate compression from streaming music like youtube, spotify, or pandora wont let you get the full effect of the music..... or at least thats what I keep reading. These headphones are reference headphones so they will get you the sound that was intended by the artist at the studio. Unlike Beats that just crank the bass up and make it sound "meh". Also, with these headphones you will want to push them out through an amp/dac to get full appreciation. Sorry getting side tracked :p For high quality music and free you could torrent them. Check if the file is FLAC, AIIF, or MP3 320kbps formatted. Anyone of these will produce a great sound but I believe FLAC is the best followed by AIIF and then MP3. FLAC isnt widely used yet and some OS dont support it and AIIF was created by Apple when OSX came out so I dont know if Windows is compatible either. Best bet though would be MP3 320kbps :D Hope that helps!!!!

SchmexyI don't use a website, I have the actual albums for high quality music. Although sometimes, like when I bought Hesitation Marks online, the artist will give you an option to download FLAC files. So no secrets here!

SchmexyI have multiple libraries, one is just all of the actual physical CD's I have. I have some vinyl but not much (I'm a noob "audiophile" so I haven't delved very far in this outside of just loving music and trying to find more convenient ways to listen, in particular more than just at home with CD player and home audio speaker setup). I also have a digital copy at 320 of all of the CD's, and I also have all of those files uploaded to google music to listen to which is the most convenient and least quality. I admittedly haven't heard dramatic differences between some of the 320 files and the CD for the most part so I luckily don't think I need to spend too much to get what I'd like to listen to. So far I've loved these headphones though and can definitely pick up some cool spatial stuff that I didn't get prior (the "soundstage" everyone talks about). It's easy to pick up what the headphones do in some binaural recorded videos I've checked out, but I don't delve too deep there because there is this whole ASMR world that in many circumstances can be considered "the weird part of youtube." Not all of it mind you, but some of it is quite questionable lol

Schmexyok, so in that wall of text I never actually got to a number for storage, I want to say it's around 150 GB or so, I think last I looked it's in the range of 70 days straight music
