Every now and again, you are astounded by technology. I had the same feeling with VR. This happened to me again today when I received my K7XX's. If you have any notion of buying a set of these cans, put any doubts aside and pay the money. I paid well over the asking price to get mine shipped to the UK, and I had to wait over 5 weeks for delivery. As I waited so long, and paid well over the asking price, I talked myself into the thought that after everything they would be pony. Boy I was wrong. I have some high end audio equipment, and these cans top the lot.
My suggestion to anyone buying these cans would be first and foremost, get a good DAC/Amp. I have the Schiit Stack (spread in my case), and they drive the K7XX's perfectly. Just over half way is plenty loud enough on high gain.
Second, use a good audio source. I use MusicBee. I rip all my CD's in FLAC format via MB, and then I play them using the WASAPI plugin direct to the DAC. Absolutely blown away.
The best compliment to the Oculus Rift is a great audio source. Now I have the best I could hope for in visual and sound.
These headphones are worth every penny and some. The asking price of the Anniversary Addition was $450, I can see why now. These headphones sound like $450

PollandAkumaAs Emoclaw says. Dollar to Pound conversion, Import Duty, DHL/Yodel fees. All of that doesn't matter though. Worth the extra expense for that low end rumble. :)

BillUpdude you have the schiit magni mounted under your desk? i was considering doing that but i worried about it over heating or blocking those ventilation holes how did you mount yours?

lukky2111They are floating below the desktop. The front of the spread is attached to the front rail (on the table) with velcro. The back of the spread is mounted with a block of wood and velcro, the same size as the front rail. I was careful not to cover the air vents with the velcro. I don't have any overheating problems as there is a good one and a half inch gap to the table top. All the cables are then zip tied to the bottom of the table.

BillUpI did think about mounting it upside down but my OCD wouldn't let me lol. No need if you mount it without any obstructions.
I had the Fiio E10K and sent it back after 2 days as the sound was muffled, and generally poor compared to the Fiio E10 and other DAC's I have had. This is in no way comparing other Fiio products as I have the Fiio X1 which is a brilliant DAC/Music Player. Comparing the Schiit Stack to the E10K is a bit unfair because of the price difference, but suffice to say, the Schiit Stack is a different animal. The sound quality is far superior. A lot cleaner, with plenty of headroom to run your high Ohm headphones. The K7XX's sound awesome on it. A match made in Heaven.

adi518They are 62 Ohms and I like headroom. On low gain the dial is at 3 O'clock. On high gain they are at 1 O'clock.

lukky2111Yes bro, I got them when I ordered the stack. I did look online for cheaper cables, but none of them were short enough.
